My Story

My earliest memories are of airplanes, it has been a life long obsession. There isn’t a specific moment or thing that sparked my love, it has always been there. It is a part of me that I never tire of, it consumes and drives me. Some people might call it a defect even, but for me it is a passion.

I grew up flying model airplanes, making lifelong friends along the way. They have taught me more about flight than I ever thought possible, and taken me places I never would have dreamed and afforded me a pretty great life.

By day I am a UAS pilot. I run the Dale Reed Subscale Flight Research Lab at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards AFB. By night I am an air race fan, avid aero geek and amateur airplane builder. Follow along on my journey as I bring my vision to life.
